Detail - Interest in the functioning of the human mind can certainly be traced to Plato and Aristotle who often dealt with issues of perceptions and motivations. While the Greeks may have contemplated the human condition, the modern study of the human mind can be traced back to Sigmund Freud (1900) and the psychoanalytic movement. He began the exploration of both conscious and unconscious factors that propelled humans to engage in a variety of behaviors. While Freud’s focus may have been on repressed sexuality our focus in this volume lies elsewhere. We are concerned herein with the expression of the cognitions, motivations, passions, intentions, perceptions, and emotions associated with entrepreneurial behaviors. We are attempting in this volume to expand on the work of why entrepreneurs think d- ferently from other people (Baron, 1998, 2004). During the decade of the 1990s the eld of entrepreneurship research seemingly abandoned the study of the entrepreneur. This was the result of earlier research not being able to demonstrate some unique entrepreneurial personality, trait, or char- teristic (Brockhaus and Horwitz, 1986). It was both a naïve and simplistic search for the “holy grail” of what made entrepreneurs the way they are. However, many of the researchers in this volume have never gave up the belief that a better und- standing of the mind of the entrepreneur would give us a better understanding of the processes that lead to the creation of new ventures.

Detail - The Entrepreneur Mind - Discover The Secrets of Success From EliteEntrepreneurs What does it take to become a successful entrepreneur? Is it a specific talent or an inborn quality? What roles do early influences, opportunitiesand experiences, and even luck play? These were the questions I had in mind when I began researching and writing The Entrepreneur Mind: Indispensable Habits, Characteristics And Principles of Top Entrepreneurs.Entrepreneurs are a unique breed in the business world, particularly those who, against the odds (the success rate is about 20 percent) launch their own businesses. Those who truly make it, who reach a pinnacle of success, are rare indeed. Thus, to define what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur, I went to the top, to some of the best-known business builders in their fields. The result was a pantheon of talent -the "titans", as I call them- representing 1 percent of entrepreneurs who really make it, those whose companies expand nationally and globally, whose employees typically number in the thousands and even tens of thousands. At the same time, I wanted lessons meaningful to many, those in small firms as well as large ones. The Entrepreneur Mind is for entrepreneurs at every stage, including thosewho are experiencing slowing growth or whose businesses have stalled; current and aspiring corporate leaders who want to adopt a more entrepreneurial approach to generate and sustain growth; people who are considering startingtheir own businesses; and MBA students and others who are interested in studying the habits of successful leaders. What You'll Learn in this Book... How to think big like an elite entrepreneur How to have a highly relevant strategy How to create value out of a vision How to achieve your vision with the right people When the entrepreneur becomes an investor How to be true to yourself on your journey of becoming a top entrepreneur The Entrepreneur Mind: Indispensable Habits, Characteristics And Principles of Top Entrepreneurs is the ultimate introduction on how to think big, act and become an elite entrepreneur. Detail - THIS BOOK IS A SUMMARY OF THE ORIGINAL WORK BY KEVIN JOHNSON There is no one born with Entrepreneurship or the ability to be an Entrepreneur. Entrepreneurship is not inbred, it is learned. The logic that says it can't be taught has been proven inaccurate and the fact that recently, more college students enrol in one type of entrepreneurship class or the other proves this to be true. Entrepreneurship has taken a place of respect in the academic world and it has come to stay. In truth, the secret to being a good Entrepreneur is the same as that of many other fields; constant study and applied knowledge. In the event that you don't have the time or the opportunity to study entrepreneurship in the university, you can acquire the required knowledge by reading expansively and stocking your library with lots of good books on the discipline. After reading all those books, you'll need a practical point of view to the ideas you find in them; this book provides that practical perspective. In this book, you will find 100 essential lessons that will provide a fresh angle on things, an angle you'll never find in entrepreneurship books, magazines or online articles. The lessons vary from how to think outside the box to why you should try different methods of doing things. It even gives guidelines on the traits that you should look for when choosing a life partner. The purpose for which this book was written is to assist budding entrepreneurs (especially those who prefer reading short books) in avoiding certain pitfalls. The most dangerous time in any business venture is at the start, with so many lessons yet to be learned, there is a high chance of mistakes being made and at that stage, and any mistake may prove fatal. Mistakes from spending too many resources on certain things or choosing the wrong partner to work with might spell the end of the business enterprise. There is a lesson in this book for budding entrepreneurs, intermediates and even business veterans. In a nutshell, if you want to think and act like an Entrepreneur; this is the book for you.

Detail - Part of the Nantchev's Nuggets of Knowledge series Pure actionable knowledge. NO fluff. NO theory. Just Results and Success. You can do anything and everything when you set your mind and attitude towards it- understand that you are your greatest obstacle to success and when you begin to strive for success it will come to you. Entrepreneurs break the trend and pattern- we live our lives our way and we live the life we want. The Age of the Entrepreneur is here. The barriers of entry to start a business is collapsing and is only going to get lower. The internet, and social media, enables people to sell things around the world almost for free and people are making fortunes. What electricity did to the 20th Century, the internet is doing to the 21st century and now is one of best times to become an entrepreneur and it is only going to get better. When I first heard about the secrets of the millionaire mind, I thought that I could create a similar book but based on the entrepreneur mind. In the book, I detail different steps you need to take in order to be an entrepreneur, because not everyone knows how to be an entrepreneur. There are two main things: 1) Expanding your comfort zone and 2) expanding your knowledge. They both go hand in hand. The entrepreneur mindset is something that you can achieve, it is a case of starting small and being persistent. Entrepreneurship is about solving a problem for your customers, I used to believe it is about selling, but selling and making a profit is a result of solving a problem for people. Business success comes from helping your customers get what they are after.

Detail - The book explores various aspects of cognitive and motivational psychology as they impact entrepreneurial behavior. Building upon the 2009 volume, Understanding the Entrepreneurial Mind, the editors and contributors explore the cognitions, motivations, passions, intentions, perceptions, and emotions associated with entrepreneurial behaviors, in each case preserving their original chapters and enhancing them with thoughtful and targeted updates, reflecting on the most recent developments in theory and practice, telling the story of what has transpired in the last decade in the field of entrepreneurial psychology. The volume addresses such questions as: Why do some people start business and others do not? Is entrepreneurship a natural quality or can it be taught? Do entrepreneurs think differently from others? While there is a great deal of literature exploring the dynamics of new firm creation, policies to promote innovation and technology transfer, and the psychology of creativity; research on entrepreneurial mindset or cognition is relatively new, and draws largely from such related fields as organizational behavior, cognitive and social psychology, career development, and consumer research. In this book, editors Brännback and Carsrud have reassembled the contributors to Understanding the Entrepreneurial Mind to discuss new research paradigms given their vantage point years after the original volume was published. Featuring the most current literature references, Revisiting the Entrepreneurial Mind continues to challenge conventional approaches to entrepreneurship and articulate an agenda for future research.

Detail - It is the government’s duty to provide for the general welfare . . . FALSE The growing gap between the rich and the poor proves that capitalism has failed . . . FALSE The government has the authority to redistribute wealth through regulations and taxes . . . FALSE All men are created equal. But not all taxpayers! Progressives, or Retrogressives, as #1 New York Times bestselling author Robert Ringer calls those on the far left who are, in reality, against progress, believe in an all-powerful central government that has the authority to meddle in both the economy and in the lives of individual citizens. Retrogressives naively believe that the government has a moral obligation to “help” those in need, but nowhere in the Constitution is there an enumerated power to that effect. In a Retrogressive utopia, life is risk free for everyone. But a government that prevents its citizens from failing actually prohibits them from succeeding. So-called social programs, such as food stamps, the minimum wage, and draconian taxes are designed to redistribute wealth but are lethal to the very people whose success is most critical to this nation’s prosperity: Entrepreneurs. In this provocative new book, Ringer examines what it takes for these unsung heroes to succeed in an environment that is increasingly hostile toward small businesses. Perhaps the most maligned and beleaguered individuals in the United States, Entrepreneurs are the easiest targets for the government’s insatiable appetite to exercise control over the economy. Yet, left alone to do what they do best, Entrepreneurs are able to innovate better products and services than the government could ever hope to provide; create jobs; reinvest much of their profits into expanding their businesses; and, as a result, grow the economy, and thereby improve the lives of millions of people through the self-regulating “invisible hand” of the marketplace. The time has come for Americans to tell politicians they don’t want any more quick fixes. What we need is for government to get out of the way and allow the Entrepreneur to move our country forward.
